New Vintage collectibles series

The Halloween Retrospect announces the new series of self-titled research digests (magazines) arrive July 2023 to gaze into the world of vintage Halloween markets as seen through hundreds of information objects (mainly ~500 vintage catalogs 1900-1979) housed in The Halloween Retrospect archive library.

The content for the first volume has been finalized (below) noting that this is not another showcase guide, but instead articles that research more deeply the actual primary sources of yesteryear. Yet, it’s not completely dry and wordy, and the first volume includes some fun extras with a four-card set of bookmark-tallies that further explore the Bindlegrim cover art (https://bindlegrim.blogspot.com/) and an 11″x17″ fold-out poster featuring vintage illustrations from a 1926 Halloween advertisement.

More photos and ordering details will follow in a new blog posting, and once available will appear in the publications portion of the website.

Release date: July 26th, 2023 – see publications.
